IZBA Voices is a community group dedicated to Russian and Ukrainian village traditions: celebrations, songs, games, rituals, costumes, folk arts and cuisine. Led by an established singer and ethnomusicologist Polina Proutskova, the group organises traditional holiday celebrations throughout the year, workshops and concerts for children and adults as well as an annual Festival of Russian Traditions LADO. You will hear the stunning improvised polyphony from Russia, ritual midsummer calls, merry dance songs, flowing lyric songs and much more. Feel free to join in for a dance or a summer game. Beautiful traditional costumes made by IZBA members represent various regions of Russia and Ukraine.
