A unique Royal event! An unprecedented first ever public appearance of the glamourous Queens from the court of Club Kali – foremost LGBTQ Asian Club in Britain. The Queens have a golden opportunity to emerge from their secret zenana. It is whispered that 2017 is UK/India Year of Culture.

Britindia Queen of Tarts has invited the Club Kali Queens to the TEA & TARTS GHAThering. They are delighted. Determined to arrive in the best possible style, they appear in an audacious vintage Silver Shadow Rolls Royce emblazoned with the inimitable eye popping art of Jon Reading and Ketna Patel, Britindia Cultural Envoys.

Britindia Queen of Tarts will receive them in the best possible taste, inviting them to share their OUTrageous Tales with the audience. Expect a scintillating monsoon of bling, audacity and gender spinning.

The event culminates with tea and tarts before Britindia Queen of Tarts lead the Club Kali Queens back into their Rolls to set off for Tate Britain where they join DJ Ritu in celebrating the first day of Pride Fortnight!

With the Club Kali Queens and Ash Mukherjee (Britindia Queen of Tarts).

Britindia’s GHAT (Gender Here And There) is an OUTstanding partnership between Club Kali Network, Ketna Patel Studio and the Anglo Asiatic Arts & Heritage Alliance (AAAHA) at CrossDrifts Festival 2017. With the OUTreach support of SOAS and Stonewall.
