CrossDrifts Festival 2017 ends with an eclectic and enjoyable feast of music and delicious authentic Nepalese food.
The afternoon kicks off with the distinctive Namlo, UK’s only Nepalese fusion band.
The brilliant interlocking style of Balinese music, gendér wayang, played by Segara Madu is next.
The premiere of Ardhanarishvara by composer Nick Gray follows. It is performed by the Piatti Quartet and dancer Kali Chandrasegaram is a subtle and evocative work that explodes into a powerful cosmic dance.
To mark the 100 years of the Russian Revolutions, IZBA Russian Music Club winds up the evening with some stunning improvised polyphony from Russia, ritual midsummer calls, merry dance songs, flowing lyric songs and much more.
